Our Portuguese journey

We are Frank & Véronique, 2 people from Belgium, who in 2014 left everything behind to start a new life in the beautiful region of Algarve, Portugal.

The idea was to open a B&B and enjoy a less hurried life, a life less focused on material things and more on nature and the energy that contact with people brings us.

Farmhouse of the Palms

In 2013 we had purchased a stunning quinta in São Brás de Alportel (Central Algarve). It was a stunning 300 years old farmhouse which we renovated completely. This meant that the main works we had to do were interior re-designing and renovation.

Although we have sold the Farmhouse, we like hospitality too much to let it go completely. That is the reason we are currently finishing the renovation of this fantastic house in Estoi.

Olhão Casa
soon for weekly rental

One day, not so long ago, we saw this house in Olhão for sale. Beautifully renovated with a lot of good taste, exactly like we would have done it. A striking façade, Portuguese floortiles, high ceilings, rooms filled with light, several terraces and, cherry on the cake, a small plunge pool on the roof.

Estoi Project II

This will be our second project in Estoi. This little house is idally located, on a atmospheric square in the shadows of the church. Coincidentally (or not) the house holds the water fountains for lower Estoi (“bicas de baixo”), which creates a functional link between both houses in Estoi.

Now we also own a boutique real estate agency called Signature Properties Solutions in Santa Bárbara de Nexe, a little piece of heaven in the hills north of Quinta do Lago. A place where Portuguese and expats respectfully mingle, probably how it also was 30 years ago.
